How It Works & FAQ

Creating your custom metal print is simple, and we're with you at every step. Here's how your photo becomes a piece of gallery-quality art.

How It Works

  • 1. Choose your size & finish. Pick the dimensions that fit your space and select the finish that suits your image: Brushed, High Gloss, or Matte.
  • 2. Check out. Place your order securely. This reserves your spot in our handcrafting queue.
  • 3. Send and confirm your photo. Upload or send us your image, and we'll personally reach out to confirm it looks great and is ready for production before we begin.
  • 4. We handcraft it. In our Denver studio, we dye-sublimate your image into the aluminum panel by hand and inspect every detail.
  • 5. It ships ready to hang. Your print arrives float-mounted and ready to display, no framing or hardware shopping required.

Choosing Your Photo

The better your original image, the more breathtaking your metal print will be. A few quick tips for the best results:

  • Go high resolution. Send us the largest, highest-quality version of your file you have. Original camera or phone photos work far better than images saved from social media, which are often compressed.
  • Check your focus and lighting. Sharp, well-lit photos translate beautifully to metal. Blurry or very dark images will carry those qualities into the print.
  • Mind the crop. Keep important details away from the very edges, since your chosen print proportions may require slight cropping.
  • When in doubt, ask. Not sure if your photo will work? Send it over. We'll review it and let you know honestly before anything goes into production.

Finishes Explained

Each finish brings out something different in your image. There's no wrong choice, only the one that feels right for your photo and your space.

  • Brushed (standard). Our signature finish. The brushed aluminum subtly shows through lighter and metallic areas of your image, adding a luminous, contemporary depth. Included at no extra charge.
  • High Gloss (+$12). A vibrant, reflective surface that maximizes color saturation and contrast. Perfect for bold landscapes, vivid sunsets, and images you want to truly pop.
  • Matte (+$15). A smooth, glare-free surface with a soft, refined look. Ideal for portraits, fine art, and rooms with bright or direct lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does my print take?

Because every print is handcrafted to order, please allow approximately 5-7 business days from the time we confirm your photo to when your order ships. We'll keep you posted along the way, and we'll always reach out if anything affects your timeline.

How does it ship, and is it really ready to hang?

Yes. Every print ships float-mounted, meaning the mounting hardware is already attached to the back so your print "floats" about an inch off the wall. Just place a screw or nail and hang it, no framing, matting, or extra hardware needed. We pack each piece carefully to arrive in perfect condition.

What kind of photos work best?

High-resolution, sharp, well-lit images shine on metal. Original files from your camera or phone are ideal. Vivid colors, strong contrast, and clear focus all translate especially well. If you're unsure about a particular photo, just ask us before ordering.

Can you fix or edit my photo?

We can handle light touch-ups such as minor color correction, straightening, and basic cropping to fit your chosen size. For more involved edits or restoration, reach out and we'll let you know what's possible. We'll always confirm any adjustments with you before printing.

Do you offer custom sizes?

We do our best to accommodate custom dimensions beyond our standard options. If you don't see the size you need, contact us with what you have in mind and we'll let you know if we can make it happen.

Do you make gift sets and personalized items?

Absolutely. Personalized gift sets and our "Wearable Art" apparel line make memorable, one-of-a-kind gifts. If you'd like something customized or have a special occasion in mind, get in touch and we'll help you put it together.

What's your return policy on made-to-order prints?

Because each print is custom-made just for you, we're unable to accept returns on change-of-mind orders. That said, your satisfaction matters deeply to us. If your print arrives damaged or there's a defect in our craftsmanship, we'll remake or replace it, no hassle. This is exactly why we confirm your photo with you before production begins.

Do you keep my image after printing?

We only use your image to create your order. We treat your photos with respect and never sell or share them. If you'd like us to keep your file on hand for future reorders, just let us know, otherwise we're happy to remove it after your order is complete.

Can I place a corporate, bulk, or wholesale order?

Yes. We love working with businesses, photographers, artists, and event organizers on larger and recurring orders. Reach out with your project details and we'll put together pricing and a timeline that works for you.

Still have questions?

We're a small Denver studio and we genuinely love hearing from our customers. If there's anything you're wondering about, reach out anytime, we're happy to help before you order.
